Night Watch

Nightwatch was a Reality Radio crime documentary series broadcast from 1954 to 1955. As a straight crime documentary, there was no background music, sound effects, or actors. Police reporter Don Reid rode in a patrol car on the night shift with other officers from the Culver City, California police department.

Dan Reid wears a hidden microphone while on duty. Nightwatch captures the sounds and voices of real life police work, which gives listeners a rare opportunity to be part of the unfolding scenes while the police conducts their daily routines.
